Vertie Jordan

Vertie Irene Jordan, 90, of Bowling Green, died Monday, February 28, 2022, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

The Edmonson County native was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Myrtle Vincent Madison and wife of the late Hurbert Frank Jordan.  She is preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Lewis; her siblings, Elzie Madison, Mae Plank, Everette Madison, Esker Madison, James Madison, Charles Madison, Raymond Madison, Rev. Wilbur Madison, Walter Madison, Oscar Madison, Elva Ridener and Annie Reeves.  She was a retired school cafeteria worker and homemaker.

Her survivors include her daughter, Roberta Sprouse (Russell); two sons, Hurbert Jordan (Janet) and Hobert Jordan; one granddaughter, April Jordan; one great granddaughter, Madison Nicole Lewis; one sister, Zella Bierod and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Rocky Hill Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Homes, Bowling Green Chapel.
