William "Bill" Thies, 68 of Smiths Grove died Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at his residence.
The Minneapolis, Minnesota native was a son of the late John and Dorothy Westergreeen
Thies, served in the US Marine Corp and was a graphic arts manager.
His survivors include his wife Mary Jo Danmeier Thies; three brothers, Jack Thies (Jan),
Jim Thies (Bruce Meyer), Rick Thies; two sisters, Mary Thompson Perry (Joe), Martha
Bloch; many nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Smiths Grove Cemetery under the
direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel.
