Wanda Joyce Wells Bledsoe

Wanda Joyce Wells Bledsoe, 81 of Smiths Grove passed peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Reece Wells. She was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Hankins and a sister-in-law, Beverly Wells. Wanda was a member of Bon-Ayr Missionary Baptist Church. She was a housewife, loving mom and grandmother. She was a retired bus driver for the Warren County School System and was Co-Owner of County Line Seeds. She also did painting of houses and farm work. Wanda enjoyed interacting with people in all walks of life and helping when she could. She loved playing the piano and singing.

Leaving to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 65 years, Gurl Bledsoe; her children, Steve Bledsoe (Beverly), Daniel Bledsoe (Brenda) and Cindy Bledsoe Travis (Darryl), six grandchildren, Alicia Edwards (Kerry), Jonathon Bledsoe (Clare), Ashley Edwards (Brad), Britney Lyles (Eric), Nicole Cline (Chris) and Benjamin Bledsoe (Kylee); 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Wells and David Wells (Darlene); one sister, Linda Reed; one brother-in-law, Jerry Hankins and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Hays Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm Saturday and 9am-2pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Her family would like to give special thanks to Hosparus who was her caregiver in her final days. They became like family to her with their special care, not only for Wanda but for the family too.
