Walter Francis McDavitt

Walter F. McDavitt, 75 of Bowling Green passed peacefully at his residence on November 24, 2023.

The Warren County native was a son of the late James B. McDavitt and Gladys Chaffin McDavitt. He is preceded in death by a brother, Gordon McDavitt and a grandchild, Elizabeth Eaden McDavitt.   He was a self employed painter and served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era.    

His survivors include his wife Barbara McDavitt; three children, Crystal Gregory (Kevin), James Scott McDavitt (Megan) and Julia Marie Wheatley; seven grandchildren, Ryan Gregory, Drew Gregory, Stella McDavitt, Emma McDavitt, Jackson Wheatley, Nathaniel Wheatley and Sophie Wheatley; one brother, Wayne McDavitt (June); three sisters, Carol Hinton (Larry), Elaine Bandy (Richard) and Roselle Watt; several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.  Cremation service under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
