W. V. Cowles, 92 of Bowling Green passed peacefully at his residence.
The Warren County native was a son of the late James Holbert Cowles and Minnie Pennington Cowles. W. V. was the husband of the late Georgia Clemmons Cowles. He is preceded in death by his son Stephen Cowles; two brothers, Ralph and Ambrose Cowles; four sisters, Alice Johnson, Mildred Johnson, Nellie Windom and Ava Murline Bledsoe. He was a farmer and retired employee of Holley Automotive, and a member of Boiling Springs Church of Christ.
His survivors include his three daughters, Shelia Chandler (Alan), Ava Roberts (John) and Teresa Faulkner (Randy); seven grandchildren, Meggan Graham, Alan Cowles, Michael Cowles, Erin Lanphear, Ashley Chandler, Amanda Cowles and Alan Joseph Chandler; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Thomas Cowles; two sisters, Margie Watt and Evelyn Watt; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Billy Duncan, Crystal Masters and Tabatha Rivera.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
