Tim Jay Frisbee, 84, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away on March 28, 2026 in. Born June 30, 1941, in Garretson, South Dakota, to Anna and Lloyd Frisbee, he was the youngest of six children. He was raised on a farm and developed a lifelong love of building, teaching, and serving others.
Tim served in the National Guard at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He later earned a Bachelor of Industrial Arts from South Dakota State University, followed by a Master's in Education at Western Kentucky University.
In 1963, Tim joined his brothers Ray and Lloyd, helping launch Frisbee's Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Today Frisbee's is the largest building service provider in Sioux Falls.
Tim dedicated his career to teaching Industrial Arts and Engineering at Glasgow Air Force Base in Montana, the University of South Dakota and later at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, where he made a lasting impact on his students before retiring from the Kentucky Community and Technical College.
For the past 37 years, Tim has shared a devoted partnership with the love of his life, Robin Wright of Bowling Green. They enjoyed family, traveling, woodworking and their beloved pets.
Tim also shared 24 years of marriage with Joanne Jackson, with whom he raised their children, Terri and Aaron.
He was known for his quiet nature and commitment to helping others. He found joy in working with his hands, music, and time spent with family. A loving father and grandfather, he will be remembered for his patience, kindness, and the example he set.
He is survived by his partner, Robin Wright; his son, Aaron Frisbee (Andrea) of Louisville; his daughter, Terri Donaldson (Ron) of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his brother, James Frisbee (Dorothy) of New Castle, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Roy, Ray, and Lloyd; and his sister, Luella.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 8 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Warren County Humane Society.
