Thomas “Tommy” Walden, 74 ,of Smiths Grove passed peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his residence.
The Warren County native was a son of the late James David and Mary Wheeler Walden. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Sue Head, one great grandchild and his long time friend and business partner, Bill Hurt.
Tommy was the owner of Walden trucking where he continued driving until March 2022. He completed his driving career at Jolly Farms. He was a member of Shiloh General Baptist Church. His favorite past time was restoring antique tractors and taking care of his lawn. He never met a stranger and had a good sense of remembering names.
Tommy is survived by his wife Paula Walden Keith; six children, Jeff Walden (Johna), Julie Walden, Jerry Johnson, Robert Johnson (Angel), Cassie Jones (Todd) and Doug Hunton (Amy); 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, one brother, Rev. Jimmy Walden (Carol), his longtime friend, Garry Jones and a host of friends from years past.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m- 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
