Thomas F. Cassel

Thomas Flynn Cassel, 66, of Smiths Grove, passed away on August 4, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his parents; Carl Eugene Cassel and Patty Lou Owens Cassel; a sister, Patty Sue Cassel; a brother, Eugene Cassel and a brother-in-law, Jeff Phillips.

Thomas was a man of many talents. He loved woodworking, working on cars, motorcycles & dirt bikes. His family was very important to him. Another part of his family---his four cats he loved dearly. Thomas was a self-employed upholsterer. His talent allowed him to create many different things for his customers.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife, Doreen Cassel; daughter, Rebecca Phillips Cassel (Rob); his sons, Robin Cassel and Keith Cassel; his sisters, Shirley Shelson (Jim) and Connie Jarrell; sisters-in-law, Terri Phillips and Tammy Reedy; and several nieces and nephews.

It was Thomas’ wishes to be cremated. The family is honoring his wishes and Hardy & Son Funeral Home Staff is assisting with the arrangements.
