Terry D. Hendrick, 62 of Bowling Green passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at TriStar Centennial Hospital.
Terry was the son of the late Marvin and Christine Dossey Hendrick. He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Hendrick and a nephew, Kyle Hendrick.
Born June 6, 1964, in the community he proudly called home throughout his life, Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, farmer, firefighter, and friend. He lived a life defined by hard work, service to others, and an unwavering love for his family.
Terry dedicated much of his career to BGMU before retiring. In retirement, he was blessed to spend his days doing what he loved most—farming his family’s land and being “Pappy” to his grandchildren.
His commitment to serving his community extended beyond his community extended beyond his work. Terry was also a retired member of the Gott Volunteer Fire Department where he faithfully served his neighbors and community for many years. He spent many years after retirement serving as an active Board Member for the Fire Department.
A proud member of Bethel Methodist Church, Terry’s faith guided his life and relationships. He enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found hunting, golfing, tending to the farm, or spending evenings checking cattle with Kathy and his grandchildren. Friends and family also knew him as a talented barbecue cook, and it was a common sight to find him standing behind his smoker preparing a meal for those he loved.
Terry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous heart, quiet wisdom, and deep devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the land he cared for, the community he served, and the countless memories he created with those who loved him.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy Hendrick; daughter, Kristen Mounts (Slater); Son, Cory Hendrick (Amanda); four grandchildren, Easton Mounts, Caroline Hendrick, Sutton Hendrick and Reid Mounts; his father and mother-in-law, Ray and Margie Kimbro; brother-in-law, Tracy Cole (Paula); Sister-in-law, Terry Hendrick Smith (Timmy), one uncle, Richard Hendrick (Carol), several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to Bethel Cemetery, c/o Alan Stubblefield, 4800 Porter Pike, Bowling Green, KY 42103
