Steven H. Cole, 78 passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at his home in Westfield, Indiana.

Steve, a native of Warren County was born to Kirk and Audrey Cole.  He was a graduate of North Warren High School and Western Kentucky State College.  He was self employed and was an avid horseman. Steve won the Indiana State Barrel Racing 11 times, and the World Champion Barrel Racing.  He was elected to the Horseman Hall of Fame in 1976, among other championships and honors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeff Cole, one grandson Cole McGuire, three brothers, Kenneth, Don and Ralph Cole, two sisters, Eleanor Dawsey and Kathaleen Scheckel.

Surviving are his wife, Marci Kersey Cole, one daughter, Jennifer McGuire (Charles), a step-daughter, Rhonda Pewter, a step-son, Gary Kersey (Christina), one grandson, Jim Williams, Jr., six step-grand sons, R V, Ryan, and Reagan Peter, Russell, Joshua, and James Turner, four step great grandchildren; two brothers, David and Willard Cole, one sister, Joann Puckett all of Bowling Green. and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the celebration.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
