Shirley Boggs Perkins

Shirley Boggs Perkins, 83 of Bowling Green died Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Medical Center.

The Perry County native was a daughter of the late William and Alice Lewis Boggs.  She was the wife of the late Joseph Ira Perkins, Jr. and is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Coots and two brothers, Winston and Willard Boggs.  Shirley was general manager for Mr Gatti’s Pizza, a member of the Church of Christ, and a member of the Chalybeate Flames for the fire department.

Her survivors include two sons, Jonathan and Michael Perkins; a daughter Maudy Perkins; Six Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Granddaughter; four sisters, Rachel Shepherd, Debbie Caudill, Sharon Davis and Pamela King; four brothers, Willis Boggs, William Boggs, Jr., Danny Boggs and Darrell Boggs; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with visitation from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
