Sandra "Sandy" McCay, 73 of Smiths Grove passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017
The Jefferson County native was a daughter of the late Lemuel Jr. and Edith Margaret Tiller Hartman. She is preceded in death by a brother, Lemuel "Bunky" Hartman and a sister, Linda Willoughby. Sandy was a 1962 graduate of Atherton High School and attended Western Kentucky University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was in the banking business and worked at Lifeskills.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 51 yeas Walt McCay; two sons, Jay McCay (Aqua) and Mike McCay(Katie); six grandchildren, Ian, Alexa, Hailey, Hunter, Brooklyn and Ava; one sister, Jackie Garret; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her Hospice workers who gave her such good care, Lisa, Lori, and Linda.
There will be a Celebration of Life 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Smiths Grove Baptist Church. Arrangements by Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel
