Robert Jones

Robert Sheldon Jones, 88 of Bowling Green died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.

The Illinois native was a son of the late Chalice W. and Harriette Sweeney Jones and husband of the late Marilyn Zelle Jones.  He was preceded in death by a son Robert Jones, Jr.; two sisters, Treasure Ann Gilthorpe and Sylvia Gail Burr. He was a retired General Motors employee.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Cave Man Chorus and served in the U S Army.

His survivors include three daughters, Robin Downs, Marilyn Kay Foster (Thomas) and Rhonda Jean Britt; Grandchildren, Tony, John and Mary Downs; Davis, Hanna and Logan Foster; Tyler, Ryan and Kyle Britt; one brother, Ronald Jones (Judy).

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
