Rickey East

Rickey East, age 70, died on March 29, 2026, at his home, due to a decline in his health.

Rickey was the son of the late Wallace and Beatrice East.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis East, Jerry East and Randy East.  

Rickey was a U.S. Army Veteran and served at Fort Campbell with the 101st Airborne Division from 1973-1976.  Following his years of service, Rickey continued to carry a strong sense of discipline and commitment to any daily challenge he faced.  He was constantly on the go to keep everything moving along for the well being of his family and home.  There wasn't anything he couldn't fix while often using his creativity and resources at hand.

To those of us that knew Rickey best, he seemed larger than life with his high energy, sense of adventure, and passion for activities he enjoyed.  

Rickey is survived by his wife, Chris; son, Robbie East (Jessica); daughter, Tara Jain (Abhi); grandsons, Zakery East, Jacob East, and Indra Jain; great granddaughter, Kalani Nunn; his sister, Rita Holley (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.  

Our family is taking the time privately to reflect on his life and on the love and care Rickey provided to all of us throughout our lives.  A public service will not be held at this time.
