Philip Higginbotham

Philip Higginbotham, 83 of the Rocky Hill community in Edmonson County passed peacefully Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Hospice House. 

The Edmonson County native was a son of the late Leslie William and Clara Lyon Higginbotham. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Douglas and Butch. Philip was a carpenter for Sunbelt Construction, a firefighter for over 35 years. He was a member of New Beginnings Church, a Mason for over 50 years in Masonic Lodge # 934 of Park City and Eastern Star. 

His survivors include his wife, Shirley Higginbotham; son, Barry Higginbotham (Misty); daughter, Kathy Devine (Chris); three grandchildren, Allison Basham (Chris), Victoria Trivett (Josh) and Dylan Higginbotham; two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Anna Kay; three sisters, Deloris Crain, Sherry Johnson and Juanita Pedigo.

There will be a Masonic Service held at 5 p.m. on Thursday with the funeral service to follow at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
