Neva Faye Alexander Whitley, was born January 30, 1947 to Arthur Bush (A.B.) Alexander and Margaret Reneau Alexander in Barren County, Kentucky. She passed peacefully on November 16, 2023 at Bridgepointe Village Manor where she received excellent care for almost 4 years.
Neva attended Chesnut Grove schoolhouse before going to Park City High School where she graduated in 1964. She also graduated from WKU in 1968 with a BS in Accounting. Neva began working for WRECC as a temporary employee in 1970, retiring 38 years later in 2008 as Vice President of Administrative Services. She was a member of First Christian Church, Bowling Green for 47 years, where she led the children's choir, sang soprano in the Chancel Choir, and served as Board Chair and Treasurer.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Gray (John) of Clarksville, TN, her son, Mark Whitley (Melissa) of Smiths Grove, and grandchildren Ava Reneau Gray, Briar William Whitley, and Ella Margaret Gray; one brother, Kenny Alexander (Sandra) of Glasgow.
There will be a memorial service held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church with visitation from 12-2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel is in charge of the services.
