Nelda Inez Wilson

Nelda Inez Wilson, 90 of Chalybeate, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Medical Center.

The Edmonson County native was born on July 15, 1935, to the late Milas and Dellie Wilson Madison. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nevon Madison Lowe. Nelda was married to Freddie G. Wilson the love of her life till he departed this life on March 19, 2004. Nelda was a graduate of Bristow High School in 1955. She had many different job titles, first her priority was a wife, mother and family. She worked at Brownsville Sewing Factory, Holley Automotive and Nelda along with her husband and son had a grade A Dairy Farm. Nelda enjoyed her garden and raising her beautiful flowers.

Nelda’s life was beautifully reflected in Proverbs 31:10 “Who can find a virtuous woman, for her price is far above rubies. Nelda was saved at the age of 12, her grandfather, Elvis Wilson, invited her to a brush harbor revival and there she was saved under the preaching of Codie Johnson. From that revival her father, mother and sister were saved as well. From that revival that was the forming and establishing the Boiling Springs General Baptist Church. Nelda was the oldest and active member until death at Boiling Springs General Baptist Church.

Nelda is survived by a daughter, Ronda Wilson, a son, Lowain Wilson, two grandchildren Matt Wilson (Earlene) and Mark Wilson, two great grandchildren, Ruby and Monroe Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
