Nelda Eloise Doyle

Nelda E. Doyle, 101 passed peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Edmonson Health Care.

The Edmonson County native was a daughter of the late James Wingfield and Stella Brown Wingfield.  She was the wife of the late Homer Doyle and was preceded in death by a daughter Joyce Baird; a son, Darrell Doyle and several brothers and sisters.  She was employed as a seamstress for Union Underwear.  She was a quilt maker and a member of Wingfield Baptist Church. 

Her survivors include her son, Charles Doyle (Marsha); nine grandchildren, Theresa Priddy (Rondal), Jeff Doyle, Karen Poteet (Mark), Bryant Doyle (Bobbi), Darren Doyle (Becky), Stacie Spear (Kelly), Tracey Gray (Sammy), Duane Doyle (Kim) and Chris Doyle (Katy); 19 Great Grandchildren and eight Great Great Grandchildren. 

Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 3 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
