Maurice Dale Miller

April 15, 1940 — March 15, 2024

Bowling Green, Kentucky

In Loving Memory of Maurice Dale Miller

Maurice Dale Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Blanche Miller, and his father, Abiff Miller. Maurice was also preceded by his brother, Darrell Miller, and his cherished wife of 38 years, Lana Stuart Miller. Additionally, he mourned the loss of two grandsons, Reid and Randon Miller.

A devoted Christian and member of Bethel Methodist Church and Oakland Masonic Lodge #563, he lived with deep faith. He was a dedicated and passionate man who spent 55 years of his life in the furniture industry, largely at Southern Kentucky Furniture Company in Bowling Green. His career was marked by a genuine ability to connect with people on a personal level, making lasting impressions on all those he encountered. If you knew Maurice, you couldn't help but love him.

Known for his even temperament, kindness, love, and strong work ethic, Maurice touched the lives of many. Beyond his career in furniture sales, he found solace and joy as a farmer. Growing up on a farm, Maurice carried his love for farming throughout his life, working in both Warren County and Logan County. The farm was his happy place, where he felt a deep connection to the land and his roots.

Maurice leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his two children: Dale Stuart Miller (Carol), and Mindy Miller Alexander (Seth). His memory will also live on through his three granddaughters: Riley, Reagan, and Reese Miller. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Miller, Norah Lee Allen (Duane), brother-in-law George Sells, several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.

A man of integrity, Maurice will be remembered for his commitment to his family, his work and the land he cherished. He will be deeply missed, but the memories of his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with those around him will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral services will occur on March 18 at 11am at Hardy and Son Funeral Homes, Bowling Green chapel, followed by burial at Bethel Methodist Church. Visitation extends from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on March 17, including a Masonic service at 7:00 pm, and from 9:00 to 11:00 am on March 18.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the cemetery fund at Bethel Methodist Church in Maurice's memory. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created during his life.
