Leland V. Motley, 89 of Smiths Grove died Monday, April 28 at Cal Turner Rehab surrounded by his family.
The Warren County native was the son of the late Hilbert and Mary Moulder Motley. He was the husband of the late Rachel Manley Motley. Leland was owner of Motley’s Heat and Air and was a member of Shiloh General Baptist Church. Leland loved going to gospel singings. In his endeavor of serving his Lord he attended many revivals across the country.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his daughter, Rita Ragan, his son, Alan Motley (Lisa), four grandchildren, Brad Beckham, Laurie McKinney (Patrick), Elizabeth Smith (Nick Walden) and Garrett Smith (Megan), five great grandchildren, Clarissa McKinney, Kolton McKinney, Hannah McKinney, Weston McKinney and Rylan McKinney, one first cousin Brenda Willoughby, along with many more cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with a burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
