John Lewis Foe age 84 of Bowling Green, died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Golconda, Illinois to the late Roy Foe and Rilla Vinson Foe.  He is also proceeded in death by his sister Irene Foe Hobbs and his brother Vinson Foe.

Mr. Foe served in the United States Air Force from 1952 – 1955.  He was a member of the Vocal Aires.

Mr. Foe graduated with his Bachelor and Masters degrees from Western Kentucky State College. He was employed by the University for 40 years.  He served as the Assistant Registrar, Manager of the Computer Center and the Director of Institutional Research.

Mr. Foe was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Church Secretary, and Church Greeter.  He was the treasurer for Camp Joy Baptist Assembly for 40 years.  He was a charter member of Phi Delta Kappa and Student National Education Association.  He was a member of Independent Order Odd Fellows Lodge 51 AARP, Warren County Retired Teachers and Woodmen Life.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vivian Booker Foe.  His three daughters Brookie Henry (Tony) of Bowling Green, Marcia Wozniak (Russell) of Victoria, Texas and Lori Hughes (Tim) of Frankfort, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Ashton Henry, John Cole Wozniak and Anne-Grayson Wozniak; one brother Rue Foe of Edwardsville, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, Bowling Green from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 and Saturday, December 23rd at 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the church, with burial to follow in the Bowling Green Gardens Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at First Baptist Church, 621 East 12th Street, Bowling Green, KY  42101.
