Jesse Douglas Whittaker, 71 of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Friday, September 5 at his residence.
He was the son of the late James D. and Charlene Jackson Whittaker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Whittaker. Jesse was owner/operator of an over the road trucking company. He was a member of North Bowling Green Church of God. Jesse loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
His survivors include his wife, Kecia Gibbs Whittaker; two daughters, Ashley Cooper (Brian) and Alexis Whittaker (Dakota Talley); four grandchildren, Gabriel, Aidan and Isabelle Cooper and Leo Talley; one brother, Jackie Whittaker (Sybil) and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in the Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
