Jeanette Grimes Herrington

Jeanette Grimes Herrington, 93 of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Christian Health Care.

The Warren County native was the daughter of the late C.G. and Della Mayhugh Grimes. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Herrington. She was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, Allison Hoy; one sister, Jeweldean Young; two brothers, Oneida Grimes and CG “Buster” Grimes, Jr. Jeanette was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Bristow Church of Christ.

Leaving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Deborah Everley (Bill), her son, Gil Brooks (Judy); five grandchildren, Brooke Nicholson (Chris), Julie Towe, Kristen Goldman (Bryan), Daniel Brooks (Mindy) and Andrew Brooks (Mary); eight great grandchildren, Kieran Towe, Case Towe, James Brooks, Luke Nicholson, Nora Brooks, Annalise Nicholson, Zach and Ryan Brooks; one brother, Hugh Grimes and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
