James Sowder

James Sowder, 89 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence.

The Pax West Virginia native was a son of the late Ernest and Goldie Settle Sowder.  He was preceded in death by his wife Kitty McCoy Sowder  He served in the U S Air Force.  James was a Business Systems Manager for Smith Kline Glaxo.  

His survivors include his son, James L. "Jamie" Sowder (Brenda); grandchildren, Rachel Lord, Kevin Sowder and Ethan Sowder; one great grandson, Colson Lord; one brother, Charles Sowder (Jesse); one sister, Roseann Culley and several nieces and nephews.

His burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, West Virginia with Military Honors. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
