James Donald Musen went to be with our Lord on May 19, 2022. Born August 31, 1938, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary (Wells) Musen and sister, Delores Bowermaster. He is survived by wife, Jenny Lynn (Rossetter) Musen, sister, Sharon Tippett, children, Steve (Denise) Musen, Don (Luzette) Musen, and Holly (Kenny) Queener, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Jim attended the University of Louisville, Western Kentucky University, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He taught math and physics at Owensboro and Glasgow High Schools. In 1969, Jim and Jenny were called to serve as missionaries with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in Kenya, East Africa. While serving in Kenya, he taught at Baptist High School in Mombasa, served as a Church Developer in Kwali District, Mission Administrator, and Volunteer Coordinator. Jim and Jenny retired from missionary service in 2001 but have remained active in service and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in High Springs, FL has been their church home.

A small graveside service will be held at the Cemetery in Smiths Grove, KY at 10:00 am (CT) on Saturday, August 6. Family and friends of Jim are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Send Relief fund at www.sendrelief.org.  Obituary information by Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel.
