Jackie Darren Jones, 58, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital while in hospice care, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 17, 1966, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jackie was the son of the late Jack Dallas Jones and Evelyn Ann Wilson. He is also preceded in death by his Pa Jones and Big Mama. He lived a life marked by humor, grit, and unconditional love- always putting his family first and finding joy in the little things.
He worked for many years as a dedicated truck driver for Monarch Environmental until an on-the-job injury led to his disability. Though he could no longer work, Jackie never lost his drive or his role as the rock of his family. He remained steady, present, and full of life- a fighter in every sense of the word. To those who knew him, Jackie was far more than a father or husband. He was a natural comedian, a community prankster, and a man who never met a stranger. Whether you know him for five minutes or five years, he made you feel like family. His laugh was unforgettable, his generosity unmatched, and his heart as big as his personality.
Jackie was married to the love of his life Michelle Vincent Jones, for 27 years. Together, they built a life full of laughter, resilience, and love. He was the proud father of three daughters, BreAnna Jones, Brooklyn Jones and Leah Beth Jones. He recently welcomed his first granddaughter, Bellamy Jane, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He also leaves behind his brother Kerry Jones (Brittany), his nieces, Kayla Jones, Ella Jones and Kayla Tittle (Trace), and one nephew, Nathan Beckham (Alison), his mother-in-law, Glenda Vincent, his sister-in-law, Melissa Beckham (Chris) and many more family members and friends who were touched by his humor and kindness.
Jackie's legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and love-- the kind that fills a room and leaves a lasting imprint. He will be missed more than words can express, but his memory will continue on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every moment his family holds close. Please honor Jackie by loving deeply, living fully, and never missing a change to make someone smile.
