Irene Minton Hale, 80 of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at her daughter’s residence.
The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Floyd and Maggie Manco Minton. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Hale. Irene was preceded in death by three sisters, Flossie Mulej, Hester Glubiak and Pearl Faltin and six brothers, Billy Minton, Frankie Minton, Bobby Minton, Hobert Minton, Raymond Minton and David Minton. Irene was a retired employee of Fruit of Loom and Riley’s Bakery. She was a member of Penns Chapel Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Jean Hale Doyle (Dennis Lee Doyle) and Robin Lynn Hale Brownfield; three grandchildren, Jenny Doyle Wilson (Joseph), Joey Andrew Cash(Courtney) and Richard Shannon Doyle (Amber); nine great grandchildren, Lydia Faith Wilson, Reece Marie Wilson, Gauge Doyle, Trent Doyle, Blane Murrey, Azarrious Douglas, Loyalty Page , Blaine Thomas and Callie Thomas; one brother, Donald Minton, and several nieces and nephews; a special friend and neighbor, Lee Rutherford.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Penns Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8p.m. Wednesday and 9a.m. -1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, Ky 42104
