Hazel Ermone Burnett

Hazel Ermone Burnett, 83, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. The proud parents, Spencer Dunn & Rose Gott Dunn, who preceded her in death, brought Hazel into the world on February 24, 1943. Hazel was originally from the Smiths Grove area. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Leann Johnson & Lisa Warren and three sisters.

Hazel married Don Burnett who survives. She was a member of First Christian Church and spent the majority of her life taking care of patients as she served as a Nurse’s Aide.

Leaving to cherish her memory is daughter, Danielle Gott; Grandchildren, Nikki Barman, Stacey Renfro, Melony Warren, Jessie “David” Warren and Joey Warren. She was blessed with 17 great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanore Dickson and Nell Norwood; a brother, Ray Dunn (Dora) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Hazel will be on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Bowling Green Chapel of Hardy & Son Funeral Homes. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until time for the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Smiths Grove Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
