Harold Douglas Hester

Harold Douglas Hester, 77 of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at his residence.

The Barren County native was a son of the late Garland and Ora Elizabeth Britt Hester. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Kathleen Neurohr, one sister, Doris Jean Hester, one brother, Raymond Thurman Hester. Harold was an over the road truck driver and he served in the U S Army.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Skaggs Hester; his son, Justin Hester; Numerous grandchildren, one brother Leon Ford Hester, two sisters, Elaine Sanders and Sue Simmons; several nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
