Frances Szabo

Frances Modlinski Szabo, 86, entered into rest on March 9, 2018, at Christian Care Communities. The Detroit, Michigan, native was the daughter of the late Bernard Modlinski and Mary Runtz Modlinski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Joseph Szabo. Mrs. Szabo retired from United Airlines where she worked in the flight kitchen. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Diana Herder, Mary Szabo, and Sharon Graham; and one son, Joe Szabo (Karen). Her brother, Bernard Modlinski (Kathy) survives. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Patricia Babu (Renjit), Jennifer Flack, Rob Tessanne (Amy), Joe Szabo II (Heidi), April Coronel, Chris Szabo (Jesi), Anthony Soto, Robert Thomas and Garrett Thomas. She was also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Monday, March 12, at 12 Noon, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in the Chapel. No visitation will be held as cremation was chosen by the family. Arrangement are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Homes, Bowling Green Chapel.
