Debbie Baize, 67 of Bowling Green died on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center surrounded by family.
Debbie was the daughter of the late Richard “Dick” Wilson and Betty Gregory Wilson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alleyne Wilson, her brother, Marty Wilson, and aunt, Marilyn Wilson. She was a woman of strong faith and loved God deeply. She was a current member of Plum Springs Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family. Earlier in life, when her children were young, she served as a Sunday School teacher and Director of Vacation Bible School at Jackson Grove Baptist Church, touching many lives with her warmth and guidance.
Debbie had a special love for animals – especially dogs—and found great joy in giving elderly dogs from the humane society a loving home for their final years. She will be missed by Polly and Rocky her fur babies. She also loved to sew, crochet, and cross-stitch, creating beautiful pieces her family will cherish always.
After retiring five years ago, she devoted her time to her family and simple joys. She never ended a phone call without reminding her children how important they were to her—because they truly were her entire world. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her whole heart. She always put the needs of others before her own and lived her life as an example of kindness, devotion, and unconditional love.
Leaving to cherish her memory is her husband, Roy F. Baize; daughter, Heather Ausbrooks (Jason); son, John Manasco (Megan); six grandchildren, Jordan Ausbrooks, Ashton Ausbrooks (Erica), Zack Ausbrooks, Katelyn Ausbrooks, Desmen Howard and Xander Manasco; two great grandchildren, Aria Howard and Elias Ausbrooks and another on the way; special family members, Steve Williams (Altagracia), Tammy Williams Smith (Douglas) and Amy Payne; many cousins who were near and dear to her heart.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
