Danny Ray Alvey, 44 of Bowling Green died on Saturday, July 18, 2026 doing what he loved -mowing.
The Warren County native was the son of the late Danny Kay and Barbara Jean Miller Alvey. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Haley Long. Danny was the foreman for Ardon Lawns & Landscapes. He loved his family, derby racing and gaming. Danny never met a stranger and loved talking and helping anyone in need.
His survivors include his wife, Sheila Alvey, children, Harley Long (Donard Trowbridge) and Darrell Long; grandchildren, Rosie, Bella and Stella; one sister, Sabrina Alvey (Gabino); one brother, Jonathon Alvey; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Still Cemetery. Visitation 2-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-2p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
