Clarence Leonard

Clarence "Buddy" Leonard, 69, of Bowling Green entered into rest on February 9 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville surrounded by loved ones.  He was born in Pineville, KY on July 14, 1949.  He was proceeded in death by his parents Howard Leonard and Lucille Petrey Leonard and his twin grandsons, Kyle and Kaleb Doyle.

Buddy was a Baptist and attended Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. He was a 35 year active member of AA where he enjoyed helping others, making friends and playing ping pong.  He retired from Bowling Green Municipal Utilities where he was a water treatment operator and was currently employed at St. Joseph School where he cherished his boss and co-workers.  Buddy loved his children, grandchildren, playing games and watching Family Feud with family and friends, hanging with loved ones while camping, listening to music, reading the Bible, walking, playing with his grand-dog Bella, and visiting with friends at the 13th Street Club House.

His survivors include his children, Janel Leonard Doyle (Kendall) of Bowling Green and Brandon Leonard (Sandi) of Hawaii.  His treasured grandchildren, John Tyler and Kimber Doyle; Patrick, Emily and Phoebe Leonard.  His sisters, Drena Leonard Crowder (Troy) and Yvonne Leonard Carson both of Cleveland, TN.  His nieces, nephews, friends and the mother of his children and long-time friend Teresa Cherry Douglas.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Lambert Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Friday  and 10:00a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
