Charles "Junebug" Saxton

Charles Pierson Saxton, Jr. “June Bug”, 73, passed peacefully surrounded by his family at The Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. He passed from this life on June 16, 2025. He was the son of the late Charles Pierson Saxton, Sr. and Hadie Wilson Saxton. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Charlie was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord, his music and his family. He also was a avid hunter.

Leaving to cherish the memories made with him is: one daughter, Mindy Hayes (Travis); two sons, Charles Michael Saxton (Ralna) and Zack Saxton; three grandchildren, Embry Hayes, Cartly Hayes and Riley Saxton; two sisters, Teresa Stidham (Anthony) and Pam Wingfield; one brother, Gil Saxton (Angela) and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family can pay their respects at Hardy & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Presbyterian Cemetery.
