Charles Robert Rogers, 87, of Bowling Green, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Hospice House surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on May 31, 1937 to Pearl & Archie Rogers, the youngest of six children. Robert was a builder, carpenter by trade, which allowed him to have many different leadership roles throughout his career which led to his official retirement from Warren County School System as Director of New Construction. He was a friend to more people than we will ever be aware of. He was a leader in many aspects professionally and in his private life. Robert was an instructor and mentor to many. He was a husband, father, son, a brother, an uncle. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Phyllis June Runner Rogers and his siblings. Robert was a member of the Sand Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church and loved riding motorcycles.
He was a father to two sons, David Rogers (Freida) and Bobby Green (Stephanie); two daughters, Robbie Richmond (Rob) and Lisa Rice (Jeff); Grandfather to April Rogers, Sherry Cordell, Krystal Richmond (Justin), Nick Richmond, Brad Rice (Hannah), Brittany Blount (Owen), Ashlyn Rice, Austin Green and Alli Rice and 11 great grandchildren.
The common thread here today can only be expressed through each person’s personal relationship with Robert. The lessons learned from Robert will remain with each of us as long as we live.
There will be a visitation Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Hillvue Heights Chapel with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
The family requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice House of Southern Kentucky,
