Charles Kenneth "Fritz" Brewer

Charles Kenneth “Fritz” Brewer, 94 of Smiths Grove died Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Edna George Brewer. He was the husband to the late Loretta Martin Brewer and is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth “Kenny” Brewer. Charles was a machinist for Detrex and a member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church. Charles also served his country in the U S Marine Corp.

His survivors include his daughter, Linda Glass (Kenneth), daughter-in-law, Patricia Brewer, six grandchildren, Karen Summers, Melissa Glass, Virginia Watt, Samantha Bailey, Christy Glass and Michelle Griffin; 11 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and two to arrive soon, also several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, May 29 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12 noon at the funeral home.
