Brenda Gayle Whitaker

Brenda Gayle Whitaker, 65, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Brenda was the loving daughter of the late James Earl Whitaker and Mary Ann Harrison Whitaker.  . She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Sue Sheridan and her sister-in-law, Mary Janie Whitaker.

Brenda was a talented lady and loved to draw and sew. Her creations were shared with many friends and family members. In addition, she loved a good shopping trip. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness-East Bowling Green.  She loved to share her religious belief with others.   She loved her work at WKU where she worked to help keep things in order and welcoming for those on campus.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Melissa Cooper; brothers, James Whitaker (Karen) and Bobby Whitaker; a nephew, Clint Pemberton (Jennifer); a great nephew, Ethan Pemberton; and a great great niece, Olivia Lynn Pemberton. She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them.

Brenda’s wishes have been honored to be cremated. At this time, no service will be held. Hardy & Son Funeral Home is honored to assist the family in handling the arrangements for Brenda.
