Billy Ray Minton

Billy Ray Minton, age 68, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky, surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 31, 1956, to the late Billy Boyd Minton and Shirley Ann Minton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicky Helmick.

Billy was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired after 35 years of dedicated service as a Service Technician with Sears Roebuck and Co. He had a deep love for the outdoors—spending his time farming, fishing, hunting, and most of all, enjoying the company of his beloved family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Teresa Minton; his children, Stacy Haynes (JT), Melissa Minton, and Billy B. Minton (Katie); and five cherished grandchildren: Zach Haynes, Abby Haynes, Linkin Minton, Tony Minton, and Landon Minton. He is also survived by his two brothers, John “Buddy” Minton (Sandra) and Jeff Minton (Robin), along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at Hardy & Sons Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Smiths Grove Cemetery.
