Ava Mae Simerly

Ava Mae Simerly, 16, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed tragically and unexpectedtly on November 18, 2023. Ava was born on December 12, 2006, in Florida.

Ava was adopted by Dr. Melloney Simerly, who passed away in May of 2022. Ava was survived by many family members and friends.

Ava lived a short but memorable life. Ava was an avid reader who loved to get lost between the pages of her science fiction novels. Ava also enjoyed listening to music and did not hesitate to sing along to any Olivia Rodriguez songs. In her short life, Ava touched many individuals with her love and affection. Even when Ava did not feel her best, she ensured that those around her would feel happy and loved. Ava would have started her senior year of high school in the fall and wanted to become a freelance writer.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church with visitation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the church.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
