Charlene Gillette
Charlene Gillette, 65, of Bowling Green, died at 8:05 p.m.,
March 14, 2008 at her residence. She was born in the Wingfield
Community of Edmonson County. She was a retired nursing
department technician with 26 years of service with the Medical
Center of Bowling Green. Charlene loved flowers, birds, but most
of all, God, and her family.
Charlene was a proud member of Hillvue Heights Baptist Church
and the youngest of ten children of the late Morgan & Hallie
Wingfield Holder.
Charlene was preceded in death by brothers, Elmore Holder,
Junior Holder, Carlos Holder, and sisters, Opie Strange and Irene
Madison.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Hardy & Son
Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Wingfield
Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Gillette,
four daughters, Penny Hogue, Pam Bailey and her husband, Joe,
Sandra Lindsey & Michelle Garcia, six grandchildren, Jason Hogue
& his wife Melinda, Lance Hogue, Melissa Bailey & her husband,
Justin, Kathy Jo Bailey, Joey Bailey & Gabriella Garcia, and five
Great Grandchildren, Brookelynn, Trace, & Jada Bailey, Jordan
& Addison Hogue, her sister, Lova Vincent and her husband, Owen
D., all of Bowling Green; her brothers, Rexy Holder of Philadelphia, PA,
Dorce Holder and his wife, Sandy of Louisville, KY; Carl Othel Holder
and his Wife, Celia of Cave City, KY, many nieces, nephews, and her
best friend, Ellen Sledge. Several nieces and nephews.
